Slot City first opened for business in 2002, since when it quickly become one of the largest independent retailers of slot cars in the UK (and Europe). We are an internet shop only, we do not have retail premises and all orders must be placed through our website, phone or fax.

Slot City was formed to fill a large gap in the market at the time, and which still exists today, ie a lack of slot car products in the high street. Whilst you can normally find Scalextric in the odd shop (but seldom the full range), finding other brands can be very difficult.

Yes, other brands. Most people in the UK have heard of Scalextric, yet few have heard of other brands which are available. Some of these are household names in other countries (Carrera from Germany, SCX from Spain) whilst others might be familiar through their other product ranges (such as Revell).

Of course, not all brands have the same price and quality. This can make it difficult for those new to slot cars to know what they are buying over the internet. One of our main aims is to take the risk out of buying so we have already done the hard work only stocking the best brands available, so you can buy from us in confidence.

One major concern for a lot of people is compatibility - will the cars we sell work on Scalextric track? The answer is yes, with this being one of our criteria for stocking a brand. So if you have a Scalextric track, you won't have any problems with any of the cars that we sell. Our other main aim with Slot City is to make buying through our website as easy and worry free as possible. Based on the feedback we receive, we feel we have achieved this aim. Our website is designed to be easy to navigate, easy to find what you want, and most importantly it is secure so there is no risk of your personal information (or credit card details) falling in to the wrong hands.
