1Q. When will a pre order product be available?

1A. Release dates are shown in all pre order product descriptions (to view this click on the product text or picture). We also maintain release schedules for all brands that we stock here. Please do not email us for further information as we don't have it - our website is kept fully up to date.

2Q. Do we have a certain product in stock?
2A. If it is listed on our website then yes (unless it is marked as a back order or pre order). If it is not listed on our website we do not have it. Our website maintains accurate stock levels so when a product is sold out it is automatically removed.

1Q. How much do we charge for shipping within the UK?
1A. Shipping is free for orders over £50 within the UK. Orders under £50 will incur a £2 postage & packing charge.

2Q. How much do we charge for shipping outside the UK?
2A. The shopping cart page displays accurate shipping charges for the products in the cart - just select your country from the drop down list in the 'shipping estimate' section then click 'update'.

1Q. Can we accept payment by cash, cheque or postal order?
1A. No, we can only accept payment by credit , debit card or Paypal.

2Q. What credit / debit cards do we accept?
2A. Maestro (UK issued cards only), MasterCard (all types), Solo, Switch, Visa (all types).

Price Related Questions

1Q. Do our prices include VAT?
1A. Yes, but only where applicable. Customers outside of the EU do not have to pay VAT and it will be automatically deducted from the prices once our website knows you don't have to pay it. You need to be logged in to our website for this to work, which happens automatically during checkout.

2Q. Are there any hidden charges?
2A. No. The price you see when checking out is the price you will pay.

3Q. Do we offer a price match?
3A. No. All prices are fixed and non-negotiable.

Spares Related Questions

1Q. Do we have spare parts for older Scalextric cars (pre 1990) ?
1A. No we only stock spares for recent (2000 and onwards) Scalextric cars. Although we do have some exceptions eg tyres (small & large superslix) which fitted several cars from the 1980 - 1990's.
2Q. Do we stock 'Micro Scalextric' or 'My First Scalextric' products?
2A. No. If you require spares for either of these systems we suggest you contact Hornby Hobbies customer service on 01843 233525.  
3Q. I cannot find the part i require on the website or on the service sheets can i contact you by telephone?
3A. It is not always possible to give accurate answers quickly by telephone. If you email your enquiries we will take the time to answer them as acurately as possible.
